The trailhead is towards the Sestrière refuge, which you can reach either via the main trail or via a path starting from the parking lot and joining the trail by cutting through the first switchbacks. After passing marker 54, leave the trail and head southeast along a new trail that leads to the mountain chalets. From there, head towards the Crête de Pra Gazé and follow it to the summit, staying on the northern slope. In unstable snow conditions, beware of avalanche-prone slopes on the southern slope overlooking the Gialorgues valley. From the summit, descend along the northwest slopes (watch out for possible slabs) to the Vallon de la Tour. Follow this valley's right bank to join the Sestrière trail, just below the refuge. Finish the route by following the trail to Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage.
